As a founding partner of LG Construction + Development over 10 years ago, Brian manages the development & construction operations of the company which include new project sourcing, conceptualization, and entitlement through construction, delivery, and ongoing management. He has spent over 16 years developing, constructing, and renovating, high-end commercial and residential projects in the Chicagoland area in excess of $500 million.
Brian’s relentless pursuit of the highest level of customer service in addition to uncompromising standards has led the company to be best-in-class across many different construction types and asset classes.
Brian graduated from the University of Illinois with both a Bachelor and Master of Science in General Engineering, as well as an MBA.
Director of Construction
Matt applies over thirteen years of industry experience with professional drive, initiative, and an intuitive management style to make LG Construction thrive. His success is built on keeping his client’s needs foremost, to meet and exceed their expectations, and developing project teams that do the same.
Prior to coming to LG Matt worked with JDL Development managing the construction of multiple multifamily and single family home developments throughout Chicago, and McShane Construction, managing a wide range of industrial, hospitality, and ground up multi-family projects in the Chicagoland area.
Matt grew up in Naperville, Illinois and graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering and Management. As Director of LG Construction, he oversees all construction operations and manages client relations, bidding, project managers, site superintendents, and project coordinators. His hands-on approach to every facet of the construction process is visible in each of the projects he and his team complete.
Director of Sales & Development
Coming from a family of engineers, it was a natural for Amy to venture into the construction industry. Her lifelong knowledge of construction and design is confirmed by her success in more than $30 million of LG’s high-end residential and commercial developments.
Amy’s current management position as the firm’s Director of Design-Build allows her to work with clients on the front lines throughout the pre-construction process, ensuring LG meets client’s expectations at every phase. She also oversees the firm’s staff of talented project coordinators, a role vital to the LG design-build experience.
Amy graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Business and Information Management.
Marc Lifshin is a managing partner of Core Campus, the firm’s student housing complexes, high-end mid/high-rise developments, and multi-unit buildings. Marc is heavily involved in all aspects of the development process: potential market and asset identification, underwriting and feasibility analysis, negotiations and acquisition, design and development, through the construction management and product delivery. Marc’s business acumen equips Core Campus with a fundamental aptitude for conducting contract negotiations and developing investment strategies, but it is his analytical and technical background that provides integral insights into the mechanics of successfully developing and delivering Class-A, institutional-grade assets. While Marc stays current with the ever-changing market trends and steers company objectives on a macro level, he maintains an intimate and comprehensive knowledge of every project on an individual, micro level.
Marc is a graduate of University of Illinois with a Bachelor in Structural Engineering and a Minor in Business Administration.
Barry manages project financials during construction, and oversees contracts, orders, invoicing, and draw disbursements.
Barry began his career in management consulting at Accenture, eventually bringing his operational design skills to the construction industry. He helped streamline LG to allow maximum simplicity for everyone involved, creating a portfolio of tools to define roles and responsibilities and to track and manage project budgets throughout construction.
Barry graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor in General Engineering, and has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management with a concentration in Real Estate Management.
