LG Pre-Construction

Success starts before a tool is lifted. We work with our clients to create a plan, and keep them involved and informed at every step of the way.  LG’s pre-construction checklist covers every step of the way, including:

  • Assembling the right project team, from architects to attorneys, designers and engineers, realtors and inspectors, builders and finishers
  • Defining the scope and budget of your project, creating the design concept, and formalizing the blueprints
  • Securing all necessary permits, ordering project materials, establishing a full building schedule, and ensuring on-site safety

LG General Contracting

They lead during Pre-Construction, focusing on drawing and scope reviews, design constructability, schedule feedback, budgeting, and value engineering. Throughout the project, they attend the OAC Meetings to ensure budget and schedule adherence with client and design team.

Alex Dyer

Director of Construction

Team: Hospitality, Retail/Office Development, Multi-Family, and Tenant Buildouts
Years at LG: Six

Alex grew up in Omaha, NE and went to University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he received his Bachelors and Masters in Civil Engineering.

In his free time, Alex enjoys exploring Chicago’s fantastic restaurant scene and taking in all the city has to offer, especially supporting the city’s many museums, local galleries and artist community. You will typically find him at home trying a new recipe with his wife and French bulldog, Hendricks.

Kirk Bacastow

Senior Project Manager

Team: Hospitality, Retail/Office Development, Multi-Family, and Tenant Buildouts
Years at LG: Four

Kirk grew up in Columbus, Ohio and double majored in Economics and Finance at Miami University. Passionate about constructing buildings that change the face of Chicago, he also received a Master’s in Project Management from Northwestern University.

When not building one of the many exciting projects in LG’s portfolio, Kirk enjoys all the outdoors has to offer: mountain biking, rock climbing, backpacking, and especially walking around his neighborhood of West Town with his wife and two children.

Zack Stanley

Senior Project Manager

Team: Residential, Multi Family, and Commercial Projects
Years at LG: Four

Born and raised in Orland Park, IL, Zack went to Illinois State University where he received a degree in Business Administration. His construction background blends well within his family tree, which has 3 architects, 2 engineers, and an industrial designer.

In his free time, he’s passionate about giving back to his local community, Logan Square, and enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, camping, motorcycling, and most of all, hitting the links. It’s a good thing he loves to build because you’ll often find him helping friends and family members with home projects, most recently renovating a kitchen and building a set of loft beds.

Rick Stanza

Project Executive - Detroit Office

Team: Multi Family & Mixed-Use Projects
Years at LG: Five

Rick grew up in Warren, MI, and after nearly a decade working on adaptive reuse projects in Chicago’s Fulton Market and West Loop neighborhoods, returned home to apply his skillset and passion to Detroit’s inventory of historical buildings, officially launching LG Detroit.

Rick holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a Master’s Degree in Interior Design from Harrington College of Design in Chicago. A carpenter by trade, Rick can be easily convinced to partake in any woodworking projects when he’s not watching his son play hockey. Rick, his wife, and their son moved from Chicago to Grosse Pointe Park in 2017 where they’re thrilled to have made Supino’s Pizza a weekly tradition again.
