LG Construction was hired by Four Corners Tavern Group to completely demolish what was originally American Junkie, and transform the space into an upscale restaurant, bar, and nightclub. While preserving the back of house spaces, LG navigated the complications of modifying the existing second floor structure to add a central staircase and reworking all existing building components to fit the new design.
Working again with interior designer Studio K Creative, the communication amongst the project team was invaluable as decisions were made on the fly and existing building surprises were overcome. This successful team approach lead the project to completion without adding time to an aggressive schedule and allowed the client to meet private party commitments made prior to construction starting. The end result evokes an upscale Las Vegas nightclub experience in the heart of River North.

This 11-unit high-end custom town home project is a perfect combination of LG’s Construction and Development branches. Homeowners who purchased during the construction process were able to customize their units to their heart’s desires with alterations ranging from finishes and fixtures, to removal and addition of rooms and walls, to designing rooftop decks and gardens.

Even units without pre-construction owners were each designed to have their own personalities – and they all take advantage of private yards, decks, a green roof system, and true 360 degree views of the city. This project was featured on the cover of CS Magazine spring of 2012.

The Library Lofts, originally built in 1909 as a book binding warehouse, was abandon until LG turned it into 106 luxury lofts.

The apartments have elements of the classic loft, large windows, high ceilings, wood floors and exposed ductwork. Central air and in-unit stacked washer/dryers are also included. The building also includes a rooftop deck with seating areas and gas grills as well as a resident entertainment lounge, decorated to reflect the building’s book binding history.
