LG is going to provide Herban Produce with an expanded outdoor urban farm and new indoor event space. The expanded farm is on Van Buren and will extend almost an entire block from Mozart to Richmond street. There will be 2 enormous raised gardens for vegetables. One is 88’ x 81’ (7,000 square feet). The other is 184’ x 106’ (20,000 square feet). New storage containers will be delivered to the site and converted into a walk in cooler and pop-up bar. There are plans for 120 custom rack framed irrigated planters that will comprise 6,000 square feet of space. There will be room for tens of thousands of vegetables and herbs to grow.

This upscale 100 unit, 6 story apartment building is a combination of studios and one bedroom residences.

All units will include luxury vinyl plank flooring, Whirlpool appliances, quartz countertops with geometric mosaic backsplash, custom shower surrounds, expansive windows and large closets.

Building amenities include a private park-style roofdeck, dog wash area, and a fitness room. The building will also feature energy saving appliances, complying with the 2017 City of Chicago Sustainability Policy and designed to achieve a score of 100 points. The garage will feature 100 bike parking spaces with a bike repair station and include (at least) one dual level Electric Vehicle Charging Station.

Inland Group's Love to Give designated charity for this project is Year Up, who's mission is to provide urban young adults with the skills, experience, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education. They achieve this through a one-year, intensive training program that provides low-income young adults, ages 18-24, with a combination of hands-on skills development, coursework eligible for college credit, corporate internships, and wraparound support.
