Collaborating with repeat client Boka Restaurant Group, LG Construction completed Duck Duck Goat for acclaimed chef Stephanie Izard. Once again, LG coordinated the complex interior design with AvroKo working throughout the project to manage the finish schedules within the client’s budget.

The finished project transports you to Chinatown, giving diners a new atmosphere and experience in several dining rooms, and a main bar designed as an outdoor pavilion. The expansive back of house space provides Chef Izard with five different kitchens including a duck/game kitchen, noodles kitchen, butcher room, and take-out kitchen.

Girl & the Goat, named one of the Top 5 Restaurant Openings in America in 2012, is located on Chicago’s renowned strip of restaurants on West Randolph Street.
This project included a complicated basement excavation and challenging structural work, all completed on a tight construction schedule. The building was transformed from an abandoned warehouse into a spectacular restaurant space in an impressive five and a half months.
LG coordinated with 555 Design and meticulously managed a budget with the client, pursuing alternative finishes and fixtures throughout the project to ensure the completed project was everything the client wanted.
